Counsellor & Parent Specialist

What I Offer

COUNSELLING

This can be long or short term face-to-face therapy, including CBT, solution focused therapy and trauma therapy.

Who is it for

Any adult or couple experiencing a range of relationship issues, anxiety, lack of confidence, family worries, and
other emotional issues.

Counselling can be of benefit if you are facing a crisis; if you feel stuck or out of control of your life, or if you are
suffering the impact of some event or trauma - now or from your childhood.

You can bring any issue - relationships, couple issues, separation, divorce, intimacy, loss, family concerns, anxiety,
stress, weight worries, confidence and self worth, sexuality, abuse, anger, depression, life changes,
work issues, racism, and if you feel emotionally damaged by being sent away to boarding school.

How will it help

By exploring any difficulties together it will enable you to feel more in control of your life, to make decisions and
positive life choices and to understand any unhelpful patterns. Many people find it extremely helpful to talk to
someone outside their family and friendship group.

Confidentiality

Confidentially is important to the success of the counselling process. I offer a safe, neutral and confidential space where you can talk about your thoughts, feelings, concerns and worries, or if you are stuck over a decision. Without this assurance of non judgement people often find it difficult to talk openly about themselves and their concerns.

PARENTAL SUPPORT

I provide guidance and support for parents / carers individually or together and have been doing this for over 20 years.

Who is it for

All parents have times when they are worried about their child, or are struggling to adjust to the teenager stage.  It may be there is a change because of separation or divorce. You may feel your children are not listening to you, or you feel you have tried everything. There may be general parental or school concerns.

How will it help

You will be offered a TOOLBOX of ideas and strategies. It is often small tweaks to what we already do at home that make can make a huge difference and reduce tension in the home and increase the self confidence of the child – and you !

Testimonials

“A professional, caring, non-judgemental nature let me feel confident to explore some
very deep issues....I cannot put into words how much this has helped me"

Testimonials

"found Rosemary very easy to talk to.  She didn't put words in my mouth, or make me feel that my problems were trivial, or unimportant, no matter what they were at that time.  If you are willing to explore your feelings and problems, this is definitely the way to go. Thank you"

Testimonials

I started attending counselling at my lowest point.  Having attended weekly for a whole year I am now at a better stage in my life.  I was able to get lots of thoughts and emotions off my chest and now feel that I have dealt with these personal issues with the help of Rosemary.  One of the best things I learnt from Rosemary is that we all have choices in life.  This is a great new outlook on life for me.  Something so simple I never realised before.

Testimonials

When I started coming I was confused and full of despair. I couldn't think clearly because my mind was so full of grief, anger and hurt.  Rosemary gave me a safe place to put my self while I explained the pain I was in.

Testimonials

"Talking to you is like talking to no other. You 'get' it. And you help me think and behave in ways I could never have thought of. "

Testimonials

"I have learnt how to say things instead of fighting when I am angry.   For the last 3 years I have been ready to take my life and I am still here because of talking to Rosemary. "
